We're busy planning for the 2013 SisterSpace Weekend, and we hope you are enjoying fond memories of the 2012 Weekend and looking forward to next September! We have appreciated your past support for the work we do, and are asking for your support to continue.
Putting on the Weekend involves a lot of effort by lots of women - and all of us are volunteers. Even though we try to keep costs as low as possible, we still have to pay for the camp, food, entertainment, printing of the program, and other expenses. We are proud of the Linda Bacon-Bass Memorial Send-a-Sister Fund, which makes it possible for women with limited incomes to attend the Weekend. We need your help to keep the Weekend strong.
Please consider supporting SisterSpace in any or all of the following ways:
- Making a tax-deductible contribution to SisterSpace (see the convenient donation button on this page).
- Sending membership dues if you can.
- Telling other women about the Weekend, and bringing at least one additional woman with you to the Weekend in 2013! Put the 2013 weekend dates on your calendar: September 6-8, 2013.
- Letting us know about other activities YOU would like SisterSpace to take up this year.

For those of you who participate in the United Way's annual Days of Caring fund drive through your employer, please don't forget that SisterSpace is a United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania member agency. How will my donation be used?
From its inception in the 1970s, SisterSpace's primary focus has been to nurture and conserve lesbian-and-women-only space. Unfortunately, as the LGBT community becomes more frequently perceived as "mainstream," it's becoming more of a challenge to maintain our community's awareness of the need to invest in and preserve this space.
As a 100% VOLUNTEER-run organization, SisterSpace takes pride in using your donations wisely! Every dollar you give goes directly into our efforts to create and sustain lesbian and women's community - whether it's to provide scholarships for disadvantaged women to attend the Weekend, create outreach programming for different communities (such as our ODYQ Intergenerational Forum), or invest directly into the infrastructure of the organization.
